A “Happy New Year” card.
I cut a strip off the front of the card before punching with the eyelet border punch so that the bottom layer of card would be visible when card is closed. I sponged the edges of the border with Bashful Blue as well as Garden Green and finished the card with a silver elastic cord bow on the spine.
The corners of each layer were punched out with a 1/2″ circle punch with a quadrant nipped out to give this detail. I used crystal effects on the bottle, cork and glasses and bubbles for a bit of depth.
You can see the Bashful Blue panel here more clearly, I inked the “firework” image with versamark and heat embossed with clear embossing powder then adhered to the right edge of card so that it would be visible when closed.
