In conjunction with Sale-a-bration, the Greenhouse Garden Stamp set had been singled out by Stampin’ Up! to highlight the plight of the Haitians who suffered a magnitude 7.0 earthquake on 12 January 2010. £1 will be donated from the sale of each Greenhouse Garden stamp set to the Red Cross’ International Response Fund to provide immediate relief and long term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need. Consequently, I felt I had to promote this stamp set and made some samples using this set. I am pleased to say some of my guests responded by purchasing a set and helped make a difference to the lives of these people in a small way. The picture above shows the card when it is closed. 
I made the belly band out of 1″ stitched grosgrain ribbon sandwiched between two punched scallop circles. The “medallion” circle image was stamped in Perfect Plum, punched with a 1 3/4″ circle punch, inked edges and raised on dimensionals and adhered to the top scallop circle. As you open the card, it reveals more panels. I dry embossed two lines then punched one edge with the eyelet border punch on Very Vanilla card stock and adhered each strip to the top of each striped panel – DSP from Tea & Crumpets. All the flowers were stamped using the two-step stamping method, they were then cut out and layered. I used the leaf image from A Touch of Nature stamp set.
