Inspiring Inkin’ Challenge #25

Our challenge this fortnight was to use three colours or more from the same colour family with the side twist of using gingham or checks.

I cut strips of cardstock in varying widths in Perfect Plum, Pale Plum and Blush Blossom from the Soft Subtles family and wove a “backdrop” which I framed in Blush Blossom having stamped on it first with one of the floral stamps from Tiny Tags. The frame was raised on dimensionals and ribbon threaded through the top left hand corner to “dress” it. In the bottom right hand corner, I punched a branch in Perfect Plum and one in Pale Plum and inked edges with Platinum Shimmer paint. The contour of the bird’s body was inked with Perfect Plum and the wing was stamped with Platinum shimmer paint and the edges were inked in Platinum shimmer also, and then adhered to the frame.

Here is the recipe:

Stamps: Framed with Love, Tiny Tags

Ink: Perfect Plum, Platinum Shimmer Paint

Papers: Elegant Eggplant,Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Blush Blossom, Whisper White

Accessories: Two-step Extra Large Bird Punch, Paper Trimmer, snips, sponge dauber, 1/4″ Elegant Eggplant grosgrain ribbon, Pink gingham ribbon, adhesive, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by.
