Style Beautiful and Bliss – SAB

I made this to show a customer what else you can do with the ornament punch, apart from fish, vases and the obvious christmas ornament – here are some perfume bottles. The ornament punch has been temporarily withdrawn as there were quality issues and my poor customer is still waiting to have it replaced. I am sending her a whole bunch of punched ornaments so she can do what she likes with them and as christmas is over, wanted to show her how else the punch could be used. So Linda, this is for you. The background uses the faux silk technique – scrumple up some white tissue paper, unravel, apply a wet adhesive evenly on cardstock and adhere tissue paper to it squeezing out any air bubbles. I stamped off in Cherry Cobbler the “Sanded” background image before stamping on to the faux silk to lighten the intensity of colour. The tallest bottle was a strip of left over card stock centred then fed through one end of the punch to get the “bottle neck” cavity in the middle. I then stamped the largest Bliss motif with versamark and gold embossed the “bottle”. The bottle stoppers were 2 x 1/2″ circles embellished with pearls. The third bottle stopper was an image from Style Beautiful which was stamped, crimped then cut out and mini pearls added before adhering to “bottle”. For the smallest bottle, I drew a pencil line across the back of the ornament as a reference point and used a 3/4″ circle punch to punch a bite to create the “waist” in the bottle. The centre panel in Whisper White was stamped with the large Bliss motif, crimped, adhered with glue on to the bottle. (The ribbed texture isn’t clear in this picture.) I turned it over, cut out the surplus and again used the 3/4″ circle punch to punch the “waist” as pictured above.
