WOYW?W #94

Hi – I’m a newbie. The lovely Hayley introduced me to WOWWW over at Julia’s Stamping Ground and I’ve decided to play along because it would make me TIDY up my desk properly each week as I would be too ashamed to share just how messy my desk gets and how messy it usually is! Very often I end up working in a 6″ square workspace or on the floor – which is covered to an inch of its life too! This is really tidy for me – I can tell you it took me 3days to sort out the mess – 3 full rubbish sacks later and this is the result! So does my desk look staged?…..lol I guess so! I’m making some chocolate boxes – will post completed project in another article. Am working on a bendy card – it’s been on my shelf half completed for weeks and weeks as my mojo deserted me and I had other deadlines to meet! To the top left of my desk is a whole bunch of new stamp sets which I have now got desk space for now that it’s more or less tidy! They are there ready to be inked and to get creative with as I have to prep for an event on the 30th. Better put my skates on I’ve got just 1 week till D-Day!

  3. LOL, situation so familiar, I often move into the kitchen as I run out of space in my craft room, lots of workspace there!! Looks like some fabby projects in progress Elaine, can't wait to see them completed. Hope all OK with you?

  4. Welcome to WOYWW, its always great to see another crafty desk, although I would not worry too much about it being tidy, we tend to love a messy desk, as a messy desk is a busy, creative desk!!

  17. Hi Elaine – yes "dumfing" fools everyone! Its my name for machine needle felting. Its the noise the machine makes as it presses the wool/yarn through the fabric below. You can find out more here.

  18. ohoo I have two of those spice jars, some one threw the out I'd love more, they are just the right shape and size! Welcome to WOYWW, it's very addictive!! Your desk is so tidy, mine's usually very messy but I've cleared it off today Have A Happy WOYWW!!

  28. Welcome to the Wednesday Nosey! Dont worry about your desk looking messey – that is a sign of creativeness. I notice we are all intrigued by your spice jars!! Gonna have a peek at your sale goodies. I love Stampin up stuff but noone sells in my neck of hte woods!

  30. Welcome to woyww, I havent been doing it for very long but i love it, looking at everyones desks tends to give me great inspiration. At first I used to tidy up but now I just take the picture of my mess lol. Cant wait to see your finished boxes, and to see what you create with all them lovely new stamps.
