WOYWW #101

It’s taken me ages to tidy up to get to this point, (A)I’ve almost lost the will to live and (B) it still looks messy! UGH, it’s such a soul-less task! On the brighter side, on my desk you can see a Level 2 Hostess set which I need to mount, a pack of Cherry Cobbler DSP ready to cut to the left of the picture. In the middle is an oval cardboard template I’ve just painstakingly cut out with a craft knife – the chipboard was very thick! – and you can see the distressing tools are out to file a smooth finish on the chipboard. On the right is a box of pins sitting on top of some cork mats ready to be run through the big shot, above that are some brooch fasteners, top right-ish, lollipop sticks (need to find a use for them), and a polystyrene ring in the middle waiting to be decorated. I am using these materials to plan a class in the future, need to find some inspiration as to what. Happy WOYWW – back to Julia’sto visit other desks.

  1. It all looks extremely neat and tidy from here… and I am curious… what is the big white donut shape? Annette #3

  2. The big white donut is a polystyrene ring for making floral wreaths or whatever takes your fancy.

  3. I'd have said that's the hardest way to plan a class -for me it has to be the idea first, but then I'm well known to be a bit lazy! Your desk looks great from here; of course, perhaps our definiton of untidy differs…alot!

  4. Loving that circle/big spot paper – fab tones there. That desk wants to be played with…

I've sent you an email with an idea for your polystyrene ring that I saw at CHA… hope you like it.

  11. Sometimes tidying up can be a soulless task, but when you find things you've been looking for then it can be a lifesaver! Wish I was more committed to putting things back where they belong!!! Patsy from HeARTworks

  12. I hope you find some inspiration for your class soon Elaine. I’m afraid I can’t offer any help either because nothing is springing to mine either.

  13. I love a tidy desk and I can see your little vacuum attachment peeking in the background. That must be the secret to keeping it all so tidy!!
