My Sunday share with you today is this dinky little set I made as a Hostess Gift this month using the Elegant Soiree DSP. It features the milk carton Bigz L die and is just perfect to use as a gift box for these little tea lights. You can find other possibilities for using this die here .
I also made a hexagonal one to showcase at the time the new mini launched. You can see it on the stand to the left of the picture next to the “chinese lantern” next to the television.
Here’s a close up for a better view – had to hunt around for it as it’s been archived so that I could take a piccy for you. The decoration on the side has been punched from the itty bitty flower punch – there are 3 punches in the set, a round circle, one with four petals (pictured on the curly label) and the last but by no means least, the flower shape one pictured above.
These 3″x 3″ envelops are no longer available in our catalogue. I dismantled one and used it as a template, traced and cut one out of a piece of Elegant Soiree DSP. The slots on my template on the left are scoring guidlines.
I applied a thin line of wet adhesive (Tombow) on the larger bottom flap and adhered as shown above. I used the two-way glue pen (if you adhere while adhesive has just been applied and is still wet, showing blue, then it becomes permanent). If you wait for it to dry and go clear, it will be repositionable, this means you can open and shut the envelop flap without damaging the paper. The 3″ square card is cut from Very Vanilla – 6″ x 3″ scored at 3″ on the long side. A piece of Soft Suede Elegant Soiree DSP cut 2 3/4″ square was adhered first to the card front, then I stamped “for you” from Cute by the Inch Hostess Level 2 stamp set on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock. This set could be yours absolutely free! All you have to do is book a workshop. We’re halfway through the Extra Extra Hostess promotion. Take advantage of that extra £20 hostess benefit. If you’re in striking distance of the Fleet Hampshire area, email me and book yours today! To finish the card, I punched a tab with the round tab punch and added a lovely flower brad – there are 48 in a box, 6 colours each in each colour family – Subtles, Brights, Neutrals and Regals and are really good quality. Have a restful Sunday. Happy stampin’ !
Love the hexagonal box, much better with the ribbon to hold it ! Thanks for sharing.
Oooh – I have made a popped down hexagonal box – but your popped up one is much prettier!
And what a great way to give tea lights – that would make a fabby Christmas project!
