To all those men folk out their who are fathers, daddies or grand-daddies a very happy Father’s Day! So here’s my homage to them – having tried my hand finally at making a pillow box owl, I’m on a roll – following on from Mummy owl, here’s the Daddy! He’s a handsome fella – cutting a dash in his waistcoat. I used 5 oval scallops cut in half and inked scalloped edges to give more definition, 1″ circles for the eyes and added googly ones too, another 1″ circle in Early Espresso cut in half for each eyelid, a petal folded in half from the 5 petal flower punch in Tangerine Tango for his beak, scrap piece of Wild Wasabi for the waistcoat, the smallest flower from the Boho Blossoms punch for his “feet”, and the bird body from the two step bird punch where the beak has been snipped off and his head reshaped to form the wings. Again my thanks to Lynn from Michigan for the original inspiration. Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of Father’s Day whereever you are on Planet Earth.
Oh how cute Elaine! I love his waistcoat – you just rock as a designer!
