March Pet Theme Scrapbook layout

This is my second offering for Scrapbook Sisters  which took place last Saturday 10 March 2012.  In this month’s projects, we based it on pets.  It had to be a generic sort of title, pets range from the scaly kind, feathered kind or furry ones with four paws – so I settled for Best buddies in the title.

Recipe:

Stamps:  Trendy Trees, Funky Four, Create a Cupcake, Every Little Bit

Ink:  Old Olive, Chocolate Chip Ink Pads, So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive markers

Paper:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, scraps of Calypso Coral, Baja Breeze and Daffodil Delight

Accessories:  Scallop Border punch, Bird Builder punch, itty bitty punch, pearls, Sizzlets Timeless Type Junior Alphabet, pearls

For our single page layout, the white bits represent photos which need to be dropped in.  I used the tree image inking with a marker pen to exclude the little girl on the swing and double stamped to add more height to the tree.  I then punched some leaves using the bird builder punch and cut off each leaf, discarding the “stem”, score each leaf lengthways down the middle and adhered to tree with glue dots.

I added a space for journaling using the “birth announcement” stamp from Little Additions by inking only the dotted lines and frame with a marker pen.

Recipe:

Stamps:  Forever Young, Patterned Pets, Little Additions

Ink:  Early Espresso, Early Espresso and Real Red markers

Paper:  Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Brights paper stack, Everyday Enchantment paper (free with a £45 before shipping/handling spend)

Accessories:  Large Oval punch, Scallop oval punch, eyelet border punch, Bird builder punch
