This is the Sweet Cake set which I teamed with Sweet Shop specialty DSP paper. There are twelve 12″x 12″ sheets in each pack, 4 double sided designs and 2 each of 2 double sided embossed designs. For the Sweet Cake image above, I added dazzling diamonds on the swirled top and stuck to only two colours, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight. The Calypso Coral coordinates beautifully with the embossed heart piece of DSP from Sweet Shop. Both the cherry and heart had a liberal helping of Crystal Effects added to give that 3D effect.
The inside needed jazzing up a little with the Cottage Garden stamp set -this includes the swirl, trio of flowers and the butterfly. The sentiment is part of the Sweet Cake set.
Want to see more? The colour combo here is Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake. This time I added the Adorning Accents Embossing Folder as a background only partially embossing it, added Pool Party, scrummy Sweet Shop Specialty DSP, stamped the “cone” from Pennant Parade, white embossing power and the create-a-cupcake builder punch for the cherry, and cut out the cake to make the ice cream “scoop”. Ruched the new Pool Party seam binding ribbon to finish the look.
Here is the last of the Sweet Cake samples. I’ve turned this one on its head – cutting out the bottom and sticking it to the top of the card as a banner for my greeting. I punched a small heart to cover over the tell tale signs of it being stamped upside down. I stamped the cupcake in Early Espresso on some scrap, cut out the cupcake and added the punched hearts and candles which are from Party This Way. The cake stand was fashioned out of a strip of cardstock using the eyelet border punch and modern label punch.
