Sunday’s Share

Good day – as the Aussies say, so whether it’s morning, noon or night, the greeting emcompasses all!

I had my BOGOF (Buy one get one free) sale yesterday and I roped hubby to help me (albeit a little reluctantly) but he accepted it with good grace so a huge “Thank you” to him. On Friday night, we emptied 3 of the bookshelves in the study and put them in boxes so I could display some of my retiring stamp sets on the shelves.  We also set up a table in there to lay more stamp sets on.   I appointed him  Cashier for the event.  He ensconced himself at the computer desk multi-tasking i.e., editing video footage while waiting for the ladies to make up their minds, then switching hats to being cashier for the day.  It made the job less onerous for him, as the video editing part of it  as far as he was concerned was doing something constructive!

Thank you too, to the lovely Val, who provided us with her famous cupcakes – she’s a regular cupcake Queen!  She did some snazzy two-toned icing on her cupcakes – yummy, yummy, yummy!

There was much excitement yesterday, because the ladies knew they were getting a  certain HOT publication, and better still, a couple of days before it actually went live!   I always have a Make & Take for them using new product and this is the card they made using Betsy’s Blossoms.  I featured this set on our team blog hop last Friday.

I used the new In Colors for this card – Primrose Petals, Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit and used the Framelits labels collection to cut the Summer starfruit and Whisper White labels.  The summer starfruit layer was pierced with the Festive paper piercing pack templates which are in the Autumn/Winter seasonal catalogue which you can find on page 30.

Here’s the inside of the card.  Even the envelope didn’t escape a bit of stamping (not shown).

I knew my ladies would be disappointed if I didn’t have some samples to show them from the new catty, so I had to find time to cobble together some additional samples. This is just one of the sets I did featuring Chock-full of Cheer, another christmassy set.  The candy canes in this set are a different size to the ones in  Scentsational and do not fit with the Holiday Collection Framelit dies.

I padded out the rest of the display with samples I’d made for the Sandown “Stitch & Creative Crafts Show” which they hadn’t seen before from the Autumn/Winter catalog.

Well, that’s all for today – not long to wait now before the 2012-13 Annual Catalogue kicks in!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Thanks for stopping by!
