I made this for my daughter’s birthday back in August but held back posting till now. She was going to a wedding which was kind of special as her husband was Best Man and she wanted to look good. Naturally if the rest of you is glammed up, you have to look after your feet too, so she spent part of her birthday money on a pair of shoes and this stamp set was just perfect for her birthday card! There are 3 stamps in the set, a single shoe, a butterfly and a sentiment (page 39).
Well, I couldn’t just stamp a single shoe, most of us have two feet, not one, so I stamped another shoe on a piece of scrap and cut it out and adhered it with dimensionals to make a pair. I then inked only one of the words in the sentiment – “fabulous” and stamped and cut that out, then stamped “daughter” from “For My Family” stamp set. She loves blues, so I used Island Indigo as my card base with Pool Party as an accent colour. Pool Party is still one of my favourites! Just can’t get enough of it and I do try hard to use other colours so I don’t get stuck in a rut but I always get drawn back to this colour combo! I stamped the butterflies randomly, applied a two-way glue pen to the bodies and sprinkled with dazzling diamonds. It really sparkles whenever it catches the light. Then to finish, I added rhinestones for more bling!
Here’s the inside. The “kick up yer heels!” is from “Bootiful Occasions” (page 50) which I love too. Watch out for samples made with that in another post!
