Peek-a-boo with Snowflake Soiree

Oh my gosh – where does the time go?  Hope you’ve all had a good week.  Here’s my Sunday share.

This stamp set has been sitting on my shelf uninked for several weeks and before you know it, christmas will be over!  So I thought I’d better mount the stamps and get inking!  I made a peekaboo card with Whisper White cardstock.  Love how you can turn a plain sheet of paper beyond recognition!  I made one for Halloween (not sure if I posted it) but this is the christmas version.  The card front was stamped randomly with different snowflake images in varying sizes in Basic Gray, Baja Breeze.  I used a stamping off technique for the smallest snowflake which appears much lighter in Basic Gray, so I’ve only used two inks for the front although it looks as though I’ve used three.

Here’s the inside.  When you open the card fully, it reveals a different image in the windows.  The small images are from Jolly Jingo Bits in the Annual Catalogue on page 22.  There is a large background stamp called Bingo Card (AC page 129) which coordinates with it.  I’ve made some cards for playing with  but will feature it in another post – so watch this space!

Here is a different view of the card so you can see how the mechanism works. If you’d like to learn how make this card, why not join my card making club.  We meet every 3rd Tuesday in the month.  Check out my website www.stampwithelaine.com and click on the tab “Monthly Clubs” for more details.

Hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by.
