I taught this to my Technique Club ladies last night – paper piecing with a twist – creating your own stamped images to use as the paper piecing element. I was inspired by this layout from Pinterest, but can’t remember who by, so thank you whoever you are.
To make life simple, I simply stamped the floral images on a scratch piece of Whisper White, then positioned a 1″ circle punch over the area I wanted displayed, punched and adhered it to the punched out circle spaces on the Whisper White mat on the card base. The only flower I stamped directly on to the Whisper White layer was one of the new images in Bashful Blue – this cardstock is being discontinued.
I left the largest floral image to stamp inside the card. I didn’t clutter it up with more sentiments as I thought it would allow room for penning a few lines.
