I can’t tell you how good it is to be crafting again. Life got in the way and I wasn’t able to play with my pre-order goodies until now. There’s nothing like a deadline to focus the mind and blow those cobwebs away, and once you get in the groove – it’s chocks away!
Some of you might think it is far too early for christmas, but there are others who are anxious to get the ball rolling making their christmas cards and stagger production in the coming weeks to prevent a last minute panic in December! For years, as Demos, we’ve been asking Stampin’ Up! to give us our seasonal catalogue earlier in the year so that Halloween addicts could get in on the act in good time, and with Halloween there is also Thanksgiving and Christmas goodies too!
Here’s a little taster with the Festival of Trees! Ta dah! Open the card and we have a forest!
I wasted a lot of Whisper White card stock before I realised that my trees needed to be folded more narrowly than I had originally allowed for in order to be “conjoined”. I’d punched out a template from the punch which coordinates with this set and used that as my template to draw and cut free hand this concertina of 8 trees. The background was sponged in Soft Sky, the lower half being masked.
