A Gift from the Garden

This is a card I made for my brother-in-law who has got green-fingers and the stamp set Gift from the Garden was almost made for him!  I stamped the background with Hardwood – one of my “go to” faves for masculine cards and used triple mat layering – Whisper White, Crushed Curry Cajun Craze for the flower pots.

I tucked  some looped linen behind the triple mat layer and fussy cut the gloves to hang on the corner.

.

For the inside of the card, I used a masking technique for the watering can so that the flower pot and trowel appears tucked behind.

It’s not often that you can be bold enough to send a card and say it’s their  “umpteenth” birthday. Only to someone you know well and who may be related and who would take it in good humour!  Teehee!

Hope he likes it – his birthday’s next week and not into blogging or Facebook so hopefully he won’t see this!

Enjoy your Sunday – thankfully the weather’s perked up.
