The original boxes are indeed a lustrous white – I think it’s made out of shimmery white card stock and you can totally transform its look by colouring them with a sponge brayer or even spritzing them if the mood takes you.
I tried both, but settled for brayering as it was less messy and produced a satisfactory result. However whether or not the boxes remain food safe after being “pimped” is debatable! The ombre ribbons from last year have carried over to this year and makes me happy because I love it and am glad they’re still in the catalogue today.
As a result of having to work a month in advance, I have a backlog of projects to find homes for. I’ve earmarked these lovely boxes with yummy goodies for the ladies who came to my team meeting last weekend.
