Both my Dad and hubby’s Dad left our mortal coil many moons ago. My heart goes out to those who suffered more recent bereavements, especially to my son-in-law whose loss is still too painful to contemplate. It happened in April, and being the first Father’s Day without him, all the family are feeling it keenly.
Nevertheless, it is a day we take time to count our blessings for the men in our lives, sons who are fathers in their own right, husbands, grand-dads and the like.
Hubby is partial to a dram of whisky or two, so this stamp set was perfect for him!

This year’s Father’s Day will go down in history as the one that claimed the lives of many, and amongst them a lot of men who were beloved fathers, or grandfathers, sons who were fathers themselves. For their family and friends, my heart goes out to you all. Although you may not think it now, there will be sunnier days and the pain of loss will heal and we will always remember them.
