Yes, Christmas Gnomes! I’m not usually a fan of garden gnomes. When I saw these, it tugged at my heart strings and I just had to have it!
The stamp set is called “Gnomes for the Holidays”. It’s a sneak peek from the August-December 2020 Mini catalogue due to launch on August 4th. In fact there are several sneak peeks! It certainly makes a change from snowflakes and winter scenes.
I cut an aperture using the Celebration Label Dies (Aug-Dec 2020 Mini) out of a layer of Shaded Spruce card stock. It was embossed with the new Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder (Aug-Dec 2020 Mini) and then adhered to the Whisper White card front.
The stamped images from “Gnomes for the Holidays” were coloured with a variety of Stampin’ Blends on Whisper White scrap. These were then fussy cut and adhered to the card front. Why? I hear you ask. Alcohol markers bleed through the back. If I stamped and coloured directly on to the card front, it would be visible from the back when you open the card. Doing it this way meant that I could pop the gnomes up on dimensionals. There’s method in the “madness” (smiles).
Are you wondering where those little sprigs at the top come from? They’re also part of the Celebration Label Dies set. I die cut a pair in Shaded Spruce and a pair in Just Jade. It seemed a nice finishing touch for the card.
