Technique – No line water colouring

At time of writing, I was still under “curfew” . We’re talking pre-30th June and UK is having a heat wave! To my dismay all the months of staying at home seemed futile because people flocked to the beaches in their hordes. People seem to have forgotten that although restrictions have been relaxed, COVID-19 is still present and we’re not out of the woods yet!

Rant over, let’s look at something pretty!

Everything about the Prized Peony suite is really gorgeous. It has a limited color palette. These are Gray Granite, Basic Gray, Petal Pink and Whisper White and the muted undertones makes it look classy. Consequently, I didn’t want any harsh lines. To achieve this, ink the image with markers instead of the usual Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I used Petal Pink Stampin’ Write marker to ink the flower portion. Switch markers to Granny Apple Green to ink the leaves and stem. To re-moisten the stamp, simply “huff” on it before you stamp. To color in the peony, stem and leaves, I used the Stampin’ Blends.
