I have been using blending brushes on the QT before Stampin’ Up! introduced them into their product line, so I am thrilled to be able to use them in future tutorials.
There are so many ways to blend and so many different tools you can use for blending. We had those hard rubber brayers so many years ago. When they retired, it was replaced with the sponge brayers which make short work of covering large areas with less harsh distinctive lines. For smaller areas, we still have the finger daubers, and of course those big round sponges. We usually cut these big rounds into quarters or sixths so that they are easier to handle.
Our newest, and latest addition are these blending brushes! They are like baby hair brushes and have a smaller head, and an extremely dense, tightly packed number of fine, soft bristles.
If it’s your first foray into blending, this new tool has to be the Rolls Royce of all blending tools. Easy to use, almost unbreakable – I say almost, because I dare not tempt fate. However, the neck of the brush is quite narrow and extremely flexible and bendy!
Can you spot that gorgeous new Treasured Tags Pick a Punch? You’ll find it on page 37 of the January-June 2021 Mini catalogue. It has a stamp set it coordinates with, but I only invested in the punch.
Here’s a quick video with hints and tips.
At the end of the video, I showed you some other cards I’d created. I thought I’d include a still of one of my favourite which you can see here.
