Long Thin card with In Bloom Bundle

Eek, only a week left of Sale-a-bration! I had to reschedule the original post I had for today in order to fit in this long thin card using the In Bloom Bundle! The papers will no longer be available after February 28, so I thought I better squeeze this long thin card in before it was too late!

Long thin card made with In Bloom Bundle

In my defence, I didn’t receive the In Bloom Bundle until recently. As I have an abundance of these Level 1 Sale-a-bration Paper Blooms papers, I thought it prudent to use as much of it as I can. Instead of stamping the floral images, I simply used the Pierced Bloom dies to cut the floral images and leaves from the Paper Blooms DSP. I just love the pierced impressions the dies create on the petals and leaves.

Included in the die set is a label die, just the right size for the sentiment in the In Bloom stamp set. Better still, there was a die for a double bow which means less bulk when you’re mailing your card!

How to choose colour palette

I took my cue for the colour scheme from the patterned paper itself. The card base is in Seaside Spray and the mat layer is in Night of Navy. You’ll notice that I also embossed the Seaside Spray mat layer using one of the two embossing folders in the Greenery Embossing folder set. These embossing folders were designed for the Mini Stamp and Emboss machine so they are only 3-3/8″ wide and 6-1/4″ in length.

It’s not apparent from the photo, but I added a variety of different size Basic Rhinestone jewels for the flower centres. Can you tell which ones they are?

I’m not done yet with this stamp set. There are loads more ideas buzzing in my head so do watch out for future projects.
