Fun Fold Card for Easter

It was so difficult to choose which stamp set to use for this fun fold Easter card so I used both to wish you all a HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY EASTER DAY!

When I chose the Arrange a Wreath bundle to make this card, I was horrified to learn that it is retiring. It is one of my favourite sets, and I’m not happy! I know we have to make room for new, but I don’t feel I’ve had my fill of this particular bundle! Equally, I loved the adorable bunnies in the “Wildly Happy” set, so I decided to use both.

Mini Card Front

The fun fold bit was adding an extra mini card on the front. For the front of this mini card, I attached three layers of wreath elements so that it would look more lush. One layer was in Pear Pizzazz, the other was in Soft Sea Foam with the fuller leaves. I die cut the third layer in Vellum and adhered it between the other two layers. The little Petal Pink flowers, Easter eggs and bow completed the wreath.

Having the mini card appealed to me. Two cards in one – double the pleasure! Inside the mini card reveals an adorable pair of rabbits from Wildly Happy. I blended the background in Balmy Blue and Soft Sea Foam with the blending brushes to eradicate the white space. I also took the opportunity to stamp some Easter eggs at the same time using a masking technique so that the eggs appear behind the rabbits.

Main Card side panels

The Petal Pink side panel layers were embossed with one of the Greenery embossing folders. It need something in the blank middle section. I fussy cut (meaning hand cut) tiny butterflies from the Butterfly Bijou Designer series papers and adhered them with glue dots to complete the card.

With the front of the card being so top heavy, I added extra mat layers to counter balance the weight. I kept it simple, adhered the die cut easter eggs, stamped the leaves and then adhered the stamped and die cut flower on top of the leaves.

I just love the versatility of this bundle. I’d used it to decorate a tin for an anniversary or wedding favour and one with an autumnal feel too.

Thanks for visiting today. Enjoy your Easter Break!
