How to create a Fun Fold card

On Easter Sunday I showcased an Easter card and promised to show you how to create the fun fold card this week. The concept is really simple. It’s just another mini card adhered to the middle of the card front of the main card base.

You have the opportunity to decorate the inside and continue with the butterfly theme. When I first received my pre-order, I was dismayed to find that only part of it had arrived. I only received the dies and paper so I had to think laterally and wondered what to do.

Long story short, when I received my Pre-order for the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle, the stamps had been placed on back order. Consequently I had to work with limited supplies and make the most of what I had in hand.

I die cut a whole bunch of butterflies out of the Butterfly Bijou paper as well as out of vellum cardstock. They looked gorgeous on their own so I made a feature of them for this card. You’ll notice that there is very little stamping except for the label on the front of the card.

There is another die that cuts out a spattering of holes. I adhered the Butterfly Bijou paper remnants on to a Calypso Coral mat layer and used the hole aperture die to add. interest.

I used the outline butterfly dies in another fancy fold card which you can see HERE.

Here’s the video tutorial I promised.
