Happy Father’s Day

Wishing all the men folk past and present a very Happy Father’s Day. The weather doesn’t look too good for Sunday this year in our neck of the woods. Even so, I hope all the Dads out there will put their feet up and relax.

Hubby has decided to stay in this Sunday, instead of going to archery. It’s especially nice for me, as I’m usually on my own so I’m planning on cooking a risotto which is a treat for us as I very rarely cook it.

clean and simple card using patterned paper and dies for Father's Day

Today I’m sharing a really simple card in rather unusual colours. I was governed by the colours in the “Beauty of the Earth” patterned papers. The colour palette is Merry Merlot, and Fresh Freesia to make the layers “pop”. It’s always nice to have a torn paper effect on masculine card. To break up the Merry Merlot, I used the Mossy Meadow braided linen thread.

I can’t get over how versatile this stamp set is, especially the dies. Can you believe that I still haven’t used the sentiments from the stamp set yet? I even made an anniversary card with it! You can see it HERE.

Have a lovely day wherever you may be and once more, Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there.
