Cutest Halloween card with Picture This

The Cutest Halloween card with Picture This is the first in my six week Countdown to Halloween Series for 2021! Every year I say that Halloween isn’t all that big in UK. However when you see the amount of Halloween costumes and paraphernalia in the shops, I do wonder if that’s a myth! It’s certainly geared to the younger set – young parents from a different generation!

That “Picture This” set of dies I bought has come in so useful. The Halloween punch can be purchased with the Cutest Halloween stamp set as a bundle with a saving of 10%. What I love about the Halloween punch is that it punches out the cat, pumpkin and ghost all at once.

The Cute Halloween Designer Series Pack have pumpkins, cats and ghosts which will fit. I cut out the one I wanted before punching it out so as not to waste the adjoining images. That little bat in the top left was fussy cut, but the cat on the left in the middle left circle was punched.

Something radical!

Have you ever cut up your Photopolymer stamps? Sometimes there are occasions when you only want one half of the word on a stamp. “Hey, Boo!” was the whole sentiment, but I only wanted the “Boo!”. Some stamps are easier to separate than others, so before I dissect the stamp, I do consider whether or not it is suitable for doing so. In this instance, it was. Don’t worry, you can make the stamp “whole” again, because it is easy to join them up again when you mount it on the acrylic block! You’d never know they became two halves! That’s the beauty of tywa anhe stamps being clear.

As you can see, there wasn’t enough room to stamp the whole sentiment ” Hey, boo!”. Besides I only wanted the “boo” part anyway. Hence the decision to cut the stamp up. It gives me greater flexibility!

Inside card

I used the leftover piece of Cute Halloween DSP to decorate the inside of the card to add a touch of colour. The greeting was stamped at an angle so I could incorporate the “faces” to add some interest.
