Today I’m sharing a fun fold card with What’s Cookin’. It’s a dutch door card, so the top half of the card has been cut off.
In our very first home, we had a galley kitchen which had a “stable door” at the end. We used to call it a “stable door” because the door was made in two halves. The bottom half was solid wood, but the top half was glazed. You could bolt the bottom half and open the top glazed half like you would a window to let fresh air in. I guess it’s the same as a “Dutch Door” – just different terminology. Now I’ve applied it to my card! lol!
I fell in love with the What’s Cookin’ bundle and I immediately thought of the gingham pattern in the Pansy Petals 12″x 12″ DSP pack which were perfect for creating a tablecloth. It was perfect for setting the scene to make pastry. I cut a slot in the mixing bowl so I could partially insert the spatula.
Inside card
Here’s the inside of the card. There’s still a little room to pen a few words. All in all, I’m pleased with how it turned out. If you’d like to see the other sample I made, you’ll have to watch the video!
To see how the rest of the card came together, press play.
Product ListHalloween’s coming!
I know Halloween isn’t as big in UK as it is in the USA. Although judging from Halloween nic-nacs, costumes etc readily available at retail outlets and supermarkets, seems to suggest otherwise. In any case, it gives me an excuse to play with Halloween stamps and papers for those who do like a Halloween party or two!
Happy crafting, and thank you for visiting!
