Easy greeting cards with rainbows

Easy greeting cards with rainbows! Happy Sunday!

Who doesn’t love making cards which have already been cut, pre-scored with envelops included which are just the right size! I’ve used them quite a lot recently. They are really handy for people with busy lives because when you do have free time, you can make these all up ready to use in an emergency!

I think the Basic White Assorted Memories & More cards and envelops are often overlooked. We search for stamp sets, dies, punches but not at the paper and packaging section.

Recently, I made a fun fold card and mentioned that if you don’t like one side of the patterned paper, you can always switch to the other side. You can see the post HERE.

Well the other side is this side. This patterned paper called Sunshine & Rainbows DSP is free during Sale-a-bration subject to a qualifying order of £45 excluding shipping/handling.

Stepping up the card

One of the rainbow dies fits over the rainbows on the patterned paper. I adhered an adhesive sheet behind the patterned paper before die cutting the rainbow. This makes adhering the rainbow so much easier. You can get quite a few rainbows out of one 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) sheet.

I kept the smaller card really simple by adhering the rainbow and then stamping the sentiment in different colours.

To step up the larger card, I stamped the curved sentiment over the top of the rainbow and added more stamping below in Magenta Madness, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody and Bermuda Bay inks on Basic White card stock.

This was then mounted on Bermuda Bay and then on to the Sunshine & Rainbow DSP which coordinated with the stamped image.

On the smaller card, I also die cut the incomplete rainbow image which I glued in the bottom right corner. You can used incomplete images and adhere them where it’s appropriate

For the larger card, I used the left over paper for the inside of the card and stamped a rainbow using the same colours.I also added some cloud die cuts and did a little more stamping to mimic the card front.
