Cutest Mini Valentine cards

I really enjoyed making the cutest Mini Valentine cards to go in the new Sweet Little Boxes from Stampin’ Up! How can it be that January has been and gone and here we are a week into February and Valentine’s Day is fast approaching!

To buy or Not to buy?

Truth be known, I wasn’t going to invest in the Sweet Talk Suite. On reflection, I couldn’t resist that cute little envelop die and after much procrastination my resolve to resist it caved in!

I’m so glad I did because the Designer Series Papers are lovely and I also loved Stampin’ Up!’s colour combinations. There’s so much to love about the Suite.

A lovely Gingham Embossing folder which I used for a long, slim card. Look out for my video tutorial on how to make it which has been scheduled for publication in the forthcoming weeks.

By the way, the faux linen ribbon is divine to work with. It is really soft and malleable.

Sweet Little Boxes

Yes, the new boxes in this Suite are REALLY called Sweet Little Boxes! There are 10 in a pack which measure 3-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ x 5/8″ (8.9 x 6.4 x 16 cm). They’re also food safe, but instead of using them for treats, I thought I’d make some mini Valentine cards to put in them!

I used a variety of dies to decorate the mini cards with, and the ones in Pool Party was simply stamped. The envelop was die cut with the Simply Marbleous 6″x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) papers which are free during Sale-a-bration subject to a qualifying order of £45 before shipping/handling. There’s only 3 more weeks to go, before it ends! Doesn’t time fly?

Card measurements

Imperial

1. Cut 5 pieces of Basic White Thick card stock 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″.
2. Long side on top, score at 2-1/4″.

Metric

1. Cut 5 pieces of Basic White Thick card stock 8 cm x 12 cm.
2. Long side on top, score at 6 cm.
