Easel card for Valentines

An easel card for Valentines with the new Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing folder. I’ve loved using this hybrid embossing folder. The stamp set called “Love & Happiness” which coordinates with it. This stamp set has so many sentiments suitable for Weddings, Anniversaries, Engagements as well as Valentines!

• Mother of Pearl 12″ x 12″ specialty paper ( 2 sheets shiny non-porous holographic paper)

Initially, I thought the the Mother of Pearl specialty paper was the same as the Pearlescent papers, but they are not. The Pearlescent papers are lighter in weight and I’d used for embossing sea shells which you can see in this post HERE.

Mother of Pearl specialty paper looks holographic, is non-porous, has a quite a shimmery gloss and can be stamped on with StazOn ink. On the subject of StazOn ink, I very rarely use it. It is a permanent ink and you have to use a special Stazon cleaner to remove ink residue on your stamps. It’s fine using it on red rubber stamps but I would not recommend using it on photopolymer stamps.

However, should you wish to use Stazon inks with photopolymer stamps, you can protect your stamp by inking it with Versamark ink first.

1. Card base : Sahara Sand 4″ x 11-1/2″, long side on top – score at 2-7/8″, 5-3/4″.
2. 1st Easel layer: Sahara Sand 4″ x 5-3/4″
3. 2nd Easel layer : Blushing Bride 3-7/8″ x 5-5/8″
4. 3rd Easel layer : Mother of Pearl Specialty paper 3-3/4″ x 5-1/2″

Inside card

1. 1st layer : Blushing Bride 3-7/8″ x 5-5/8″
2. 2nd layer : Basic White 3-3/4″ x 5-1/2″

Extras

1. Supple Shimmer 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) paper : 3″ x 3″ pink
2. Cut 2 small stitched hearts in Sahara Sand and 1 in Supple Shimmer pink.
3. 1/2″ scrap of Basic White

Metric

1. Card base : Sahara Sand 10 cm x 28 cm, long side on top – score at 7 cm, 14 cm .
2. 1st Easel layer: Sahara Sand 10 cm x 14 cm.
3. 2nd Easel layer : Blushing Bride 9.5 cm x 13.5 cm.
4. 3rd Easel layer : Mother of Pearl Specialty paper 9 cm x 13 cm

Inside card

1. 1st layer : Blushing Bride 9.5 cm x 13.5 cm.
2. 2nd layer : Basic White 9 cm x 13 cm.

Extras

1. Supple Shimmer 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) paper : 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm pink
2. Cut 2 small stitched hearts in Sahara Sand and 1 in Supple Shimmer pink.
