Fun Fold card with Hedgehogs and daffodils

Today I have another fun fold card with hedgehogs and daffodils. I posted recently on how to create the mechanism for the the quadruple easel card and if you missed it, you can see it HERE.

The hedgehog is a little different in this card. Instead of a stamped image which you then punch out, I punched a silhouette of the hedgehog with Crumb Cake card stock from the larger of the two outlines. Then I inserted a strip of Early Espresso card stock to punch out the two miniscule dots in the punch. I also punched out the quill portion of the hedgehog which is above the larger profile of the hedgehog in the punch.

Next, I embossed the Early Espresso quill portion with the Bark 3D embossing folder. This adds texture and also resembles the quills on the hedgehogs back. Initially I didn’t know what the other dot was for in the punch. The hedgehog silhouette shows its side profile. It therefore stood to reason that you can only see one eye. I finally had a light bulb moment and realised that the other dot was for his teeny tiny nose!

Muggins was a bit late to the daffodil party. The daffodil dies weren’t as onerous as I initially thought, and I had been putting it off for awhile when it suddenly dawned on me that there was only a week left of Sale-a-bration! It was now or never to showcase those gorgeous Daffodil Afternoon designer series papers.

I’m glad I’ve made it in the nick of time, and once I got started assembling those daffodils, it was a cinch. Thanks to griptex technology and Press n’ Seal!
