Shaker card – Seas the Day

A shaker card with Seas the Day – don’t you just love puns on words? Marry that with the gorgeous newly released Waves of the Ocean DSP and that scene is set! I love that Stampin’ Up! gave us the option to have fishes facing in both directions. Oftentimes it’s just in one and if you wanted the image to face the other way, you’d have to employ a stamped mirror image technique with the help of extra tools and a silicone mat!

The front facing die cuts out a beautiful oval, with seaweed and coral included! I simply cut a piece of Waves of the Ocean DSP as my background and adhered stamped and die cut sea creatures on top. Foam adhesive strips are a must! They’re slightly taller than the standard Stampin’ dimensionals to give it extra height and that’s ideal for shaker cards.

The card front is a little top heavy. I added an extra layer of coloured card stock on the inside in Pacific Point. The Basic White layer was cut 1/8″ smaller. A touch of colour in the bottom right corner and the die cut crab adhered on top.

Card details

The card base is ½ an A4 sheet of Basic White Thick folded in half and some ordinary Basic White for stamping the sea creatures.

  1. ¼ sheet A4 Basic White Thick for die cutting Seas die frame.
  2. Window sheet 4″ x 5-7/8″
