Pretty in Pink – Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop

This month the theme is Pretty in Pink for the Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop. It’s that time of year when we’re archiving the old and welcoming in the new. What am I talking about? The new Annual Catalogue, of course! So I have a little sneak peek for you.

The Tech 4 Stampers is a monthly subscription group run by Louise Sims. She mentors and enables members to understand IT jargon and equips them with a fountain of Technical knowledge to build or manage their own websites. It takes the mystery out of “tech” and I’ve certainly grown in confidence thanks to her expertise, patience and guidance. Not only that, I’ve met and made new friends with my fellow “Techs” and love the camaraderie within the group.

Pink floral card, sneak peek, Tech 4 Stampers blog hop

I deliberately didn’t add a sentiment to this card. There are times when we need a card for an emergency and a card without one means you can add it when the emergency arises. So it could be an anniversary, a birthday, get well card… you get my drift.

We are a nation of tea drinkers, for me, anyhow. So are you a coffee person, or do you prefer tea, or love both! I’m quite happy with either.

The “Cup of Tea” stamp set and dies are part of the Tea Boutique Suite and includes the Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes which is featured here. The pack contains 20 printed card bases and envelops. During the pre-order period, in Europe, only 3 of the new In Colour A4 packs were available. As luck would have it, there wasn’t any pink. I had a light bulb moment. Surely the Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes would have all five colours in it and indeed it did, so I used this card and added elements to compliment it.

The details

To contain the colour within the image lines on the tea cup, I inked the stamp with versamark ink first, then followed with the coloured ink. You can then sprinkle clear embossing powder over the image and heat emboss it to set it. Then I added colour with the Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers.

The Frame itself has been raised with dimensionals. Instead of discarding the inside, I dry embossed it with the Timber 3D embossing folder and adhered it directly to the card base. The 2022-2024 In Color 6″x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) glimmer paper carried all five In-Colors too, so I die cut the pink flowers from this pack. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!

You’re probably wondering why I haven’t given you the names of the colours. That is because closer to launch day, I have a blogpost with clues for customers to guess what they are, so I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag!….or should I, then they’ll have to hunt for more clues from a backlog of posts! Interesting thought!

  1. I love your card. I live in the land of sweet iced tea, but some of my roots were transplanted from the land of hot tea drinkers. I can’t wait to play with this set and color the images to match the teacups in my collection that were handed down from my grandmother. I prefer my tea unsweet whether hot or cold.

  2. Thank you, June – it’s not my normal colours, I’ve more of a leaning to pastel shades all these bright colours are out of my comfort zone!

    • Thanks Carrie, I drink herbal teas, love English Breakfast tea and recently became a fan of Yorkshire Tea. Hubby bought the loose leaf variety, and it’s brewed in our cast iron oriental teapot.

  3. Love your card with the strong bold colours. I’m a coffee drinker, but I always drink tea when indulging in an afternoon tea.

    • Thank you Sue. We have a Nespresso machine and use capsules for our coffee. Hubby’s tipple, but he drinks tea too in equal measure!
