Fabulous Framed cards – Sit Stay Relax

Happy Sunday! The end of the week comes round so quickly that sometimes I feel we need to pause time just for a moment to catch up! Sadly, time doesn’t stand still and we just have to keep going. Sundays end all too quickly. If you blink, it’s the start of the working week again suffering a touch of the Monday blues!

That’s why I chose to showcase this stamp set, because we do need to sit, stay, relax to recharge our batteries! It’s been a while since I used the Fabulous Frames Dies set. They were great for “framing” the armchairs. Added to that, I used the lovely Design a Daydream 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) designer series papers, also a Host Reward. It’s a bumper pack 4 sheets of each 12 double sided designs with 48 sheets in the pack!

Card details

All the cards are a standard size which will fit in a C6 envelop. The card bases are 1/2 an A4 sheet and in UK and Europe, this measures 8-1/4″ x 5-7/8″ (21 cm x 14.5 cm).

Strawberry Sorbet Card

1. Strawberry Sorbet card : Cut DSP 1/4″ smaller than card base and adhere to card front. Then use Fabulous Frames dies to cut fancy frame in Sweet Sorbet. Adhere this to front of card base on top of DSP layer.
2. Stamp armchair with leaves in Mint Macaron on Basic White card stock. Colour leaves with Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends and fill in the spaces in-between with Sweet Sorbert Blending pens. Use Soft Suede to trace round armchair and colour in end of arm-rests and legs. Fussy cut armchair and apply dimensionals to back.
3. Adhere with dimensionals to inside of Sweet Sorbet frame.
4. Stamp “wish you were here” sentiment and die cut label from Fabulous Frames. Adhere to card base below Sweet Sorbet frame.
5. Add bow tied with Bakers Twine.
6. Embellish with 2022-2024 In colour dots

Oval frame Orchid Oasis card

1. Cut Petal Pink DSP 1/4″ smaller than Orchid Oasis card base and adhere to card.
2. Die cut several Oval frames from Fabulous Frames Dies in Orchid Oasis. Stack them on top of one another and adhere together to create an oval frame. It eliminates having to use foam dimensionals to raise the frame. Adhere this to top left of card base on top of the DSP.
3. On a piece of Basic White, stamp the curvy armchair with cat sitting up in Orchid Oasis ink.
4. Use Petal Pink stampin’ blend to colour in diamond shapes.
5. Colour the frame, arms and legs of chair in Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends combo.
6. Die cut this and adhere oval inside of oval stack.
7. Adhere stamped frame and line it up with the image which has been recessed.
8. Also adhere the stamped Basic White frame so that once adhered, it will align with the previously stamped image.
9. White emboss “Hi friend” on Orchid Oasis c/s and die cut label.
10. Embellish with 22-24 In colour dots

Rectangular frame Orchid Oasis card

1. Die cut 2 pieces of DSP in petal pink with largest Fabulous Frames rectangle die.
2. Stack 2 of the outer rectangular frames on top of one another and adhere together.
3. Adhere DSP 1 piece only of the inside of the rectangular frame to the inside of frame. There should be a slight dip when viewed from top.
4. Stamp and colour in the chair on Basic White card stock with Orchid Oasis ink and petal pink stampin’ blend combo.
5. Colour in dog with Soft Suede combo.
6. Stamp sentiment in Orchid Oasis on Basic White card stock.
7. Create flag end and adhere to card base inside frame as shown in picture.
8. Embellish with Bakers twine and In colour dots.
