Sneak Peek – Framed Florets Bundle

Here’s a sneak peek of the Framed Florets Bundle. As luck would have it, this pre-order was stuck in the system due to shipping delays. I had almost given up hope as to whether or not it would arrive in time before November 1st. If the worst came to the worst, I would’ve used Stampin’ Up!’s marketing flyer, but as it happens, it arrived in the nick of time with just a couple of days to spare! I work in advance so I have had to shuffle all my Sunday posts around to include this for a sneak peek today.

In the Fitting Florets collection, some of these items are for a limited time period only. Click Fitting Florets Collection to read more about the collection. The collection is coming soon. Only 2 more sleeps!

Stampin’ Up! have listened to the feedback from both customers and demonstrators to streamline the name of the stamps together with the dies. For the first time, they’ve named both the stamp set and the corresponding dies the same name to avoid confusion. We’d been asking for oval dies so this set is amazing! This is just the tip of the iceberg – you can use it in so many ways. Nested inside and you can use the “insides” for another project so there’s no waste!

Here’s the card I made – a long slim card – Balmy Blue card stock cut 7 ½” x 8 ½”. On the 7 ½” side, score at 3 ¾”. I had to make the card a little wider but not so wide that it wouldn’t fit in Stampin’ Up!’s slimline envelopes and wide enough so that the fancy die frame would fit too.

Also in the collection is the Fitting Florets 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Designer Series Paper. One of the sheets have floral images which fit one of the dies. The rest of the floral images can be fussy cut as well. Don’t waste the partial ones on the edges of the paper . You can see how I’ve used them on this card.

I cut the Night of Navy Fitting Florettes DSP (pictured) the same size as the card front at 3 ¾” x 8 ½” and gutted the inside using the trimmer leaving a ½” border on all 4 sides. It was going to be covered by the Balmy Blue card front layer anyway, so it just made sense to conserve the inside which you can use on another project.

The large oval die with hearts round the frame doesn’t cut an actual frame. It simply cuts the hearts in an oval configuration. You can use the hearts as sprinkles for a shaker card which is what I’ve done here. Rather than waste them, I add them with the For Everything Fancy sequins in my shaker card.

I also used one of the leaf dies to die cut a frond in Basic White and coloured it with Evening Evergreen and Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends.
