Remembrance Sunday

It’s Remembrance Sunday today. As you’re probably aware, Remembrance Day, commonly referred to as Armistice Day, commemorates the anniversary of the signing of the treaty in 1918 that declared the First World War to be over.

I’m pausing for a moment to remember them….

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

It will be strange marking the first Rememberance Sunday without HM The Queen this year. King Charles III and the Queen Consort will be joined by members of the Royal Family @PoppyLegion Festival of Remembrance. Its theme reflects on the value of service and will include a special tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
