The theme for December for the Tech 4 Stampers blog hop is “Celebrate”. When you say “celebrate” what occasion could it be? A significant birthday, a milestone achievement, a job promotion, embarking on an adventure to foreign climes, overcoming the fear of the unknown? So I thought why not simply make a card that just says “celebrate” and leave the inside blank. Then when you need an emergency card, you’ve got one in the bag – all you need to do is add the occasion in the inside of the card as and when it’s needed!
The Tech 4 Stampers is a monthly subscription group run by Louise Sims. She mentors and enables members to understand IT jargon and equips them with a fountain of Technical knowledge to build or manage their own websites. It takes the mystery out of “tech” and I’ve certainly grown in confidence thanks to her expertise, patience and guidance. Not only that, I’ve met and made new friends with my fellow “Techs” and love the camaraderie within the group.
Stamp sets
Both the Warm Welcome and Framed Florets were early releases from the January-April 2023 mini. I had the Warm Welcome one for quite some time but didn’t have the opportunity to use it till now.
This is a really simple card with simple stamping. My card base is Basic White Thick. The mat layer is Pale Papaya measuring 3 ¾” x 5 ½” (9.5 cm x 14 cm) which was adhered at an angle and the stamped Basic White piece measures 3 ⅝” x 5 ⅜” (9 cm x 13.5 cm).
I used the “celebrate ! ” sentiment from Framed Florets and stamped it in a random configuration in muted rainbow colours from Stampin’ Up!’s colour range.
- Red : Poppy Parade
- Orange : Pale Papaya
- Yellow : So Saffron
- Green : Mint Macaron
- Blue : Pool Party
- Indigo : Pacific Point
- Violet : Highland Heather
Guess what? I smudged the trio of hearts I stamped in Mint Macaron. A crafter’s byword – never a mistake just an embellishment opportunity…. so I die cut 3 little hearts in Mint Macaron and adhered them with dimensionals.
Short and sweet!
