Long, slim card – Sweet Gingerbread bundle

Hello and Happy Sunday! Today I have two long, slim cards to share with the Sweet Gingerbread bundle. I don’t know about you, but sometimes, you see something in the catalogue and it jumps at you. Then when you actually break open the stamp set you don’t quite know what to do with them.

Thankfully, once I got going ….same old story, I couldn’t stop! lol!

The card base for both cards measures 8-1/4″ x 7″ (21 cm x 18 cm) and folded in half. The mat layers for the card fronts measures 7-3/4″ x 3″ (19.5 cm x 7.5 cm)

I created a template for all the elements to build the gingerbread house to use on the Stamparatus. Then I die cut loads of blanks out of Basic White card stock for the elements to insert into the template for stamping in whichever colour-way I wanted. On the white card I stamped the door in Night of Navy and for the Pool Party card, I stamped it in Soft Suede. Both sets of windows were stamped in So Saffron.

The snow effect on the chimney and roof line are Snowfall Accents Puff Paint which needs to be heat set in order to make it puff. Avoid using on stamped images as it will run – I just applied mine on a plain piece of Crumb Cake and Pool Party for the respective houses.

I stamped the details on the house and the greeting with Versamark Ink and embossed it with White embossing powder. As a finishing touch, I added For Everything Fancy sequins to each card. This comes in a pack of 3 in green, blue and pink.

So that’s it for today, thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
