Table favour with Sweet Gingerbread bundle for today’s project – I simply couldn’t resist it! The size of the box was governed by the width of the Gingerbread house die which is 1 ¾” across. So to follow on, I chose the Height at 1 ½” (4 cm) and depth also at 1 ½” (4 cm).

I put Hershey nuggets in mine, but you can put confectionery of your choice. Three Hershy nuggest fit inside the box and I cut a strip of DSP 1″ x 3 ” (5 cm x 7.5 cm) from the Host reward Celebrate Everything pack to wrap each nugget.

Here’s a close up of the Gingerbread house. I used the Enamel Effects in Real Red for the berries, the heart pearls in the doorway, and the 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds for the door knob.

How to create the 3D Gingerbread House

You need to create a box base then with the Gingerbread House die, cut two houses. One will be adhere to the back of the box base, and the other to the front.

1. Box base : Cut piece of coloured card stock 3″x 7″ (8 cm x 18 cm)
2. Orient card stock with short side at the top and score at 1 ½” (4 cm)
3. Rotate card stock 1/4 turn anti-clockwise so long side is at the top and score at 1 ½”, 3 ¼”, 4 ¾” and 6 ½” (4 cm, 8.5 cm, 12.5 cm, 17 cm). Please refer to video tutorial to see where to cut to assemble box.
4. Die cut 2 gingerbread houses with coordinating coloured card stock.
5. Roof die – die cut 2 roofs
6. Basic White card stock scrap – die cut 1 door, 2 windows and a wreath
7. On one of the houses stamp with Versamark ink and white emboss
8. Insert blanks into stamparatus to stamp door, window, wreath. If you do not have a stamparatus then stamp them and die cut them individually. Adhere the elements to the front of house piece.
9. Assemble box and adhere the blank House to back of box and attach roof.
10. Adhere embossed house front to front of box.
11. Add embellishments on door.
