Valentine’s day is approaching so I made a Valentine card with something old and something new. The new are the Conversation Bubbles and Love For You Bundle from the January-April 2023 Mini and the old is the Count Me In Cling stamp set from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue.
By purchasing the bundles plus an ink pad, it enabled me to earn the Level 2 Dandy Designs 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Sale-a-bration DSP for free – 48 sheets of pretty paper!
I thought that the adorable koalas hugging each other from the “Count on Me” stamp set made an ideal subject for a Valentine card. There isn’t a coordinating die set for this stamp set so I just fussy cut the koalas and adhered it with dimensionals.
If you’re a scrapbooker, then these Conversation Bubbles will be such an asset. The sentiment is so adaptable and can be used for any occasion. The dies which coordinate with it has so many possibilities. I love that the dies can be used to frame the speech bubble and that they die cut and emboss simultaneously. You can use the inside separately or inset. They also come in four sizes. The bubbles are in different shapes too and that thought bubble is such fun! There are extras too, like the hearts, tassels and stars.
For the inside of the card I stamped the bear holding a heart. I coloured him in with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends combo and the heart with Petal Pink combo.

This valentine card is certainly not the usual type of valentine card you’d expect – it’s a departure from the reds and blacks. I had fun thinking outside the box and hope that you can see how versatile these conversation bubbles have been. It was also quite satisfying re-visiting the Count on Me stamp set.
