Wishing you a Happy New Year with Adorable Owls. I hope you had a lovely New Year’s Eve and aren’t nursing sore heads today! The Adorable Owls stamp set I earned free as a Sale-a-bration item. If I’m to be honest, I didn’t love them at first and reluctantly put them in my basket.
I needed to make a new year card, and incorporate the owls. As with anything, the minute you start playing with something, you start to fall in love. It rather depends on what you pair them with. I gravitated toward the Brightest Glow stamp set because it had a “Happy New Year” greeting in it. The Labels Aglow dies are fab, and together with the owls, some brushed metal card stock I began to love it more.

The gold foil mat makes the little holes in the Crumb Cake layer “pop”. The owls were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, coloured in with a variety of Stampin’ Blends and then individually fussy cut. The owl in flight and. the one wearing a party hat was adhered directly on to the card stock. The third owl with the bow tie was adhered with dimensionals. I also fussy cut the greeting and lastly added 2022-2024 In-color Matte Decorative dots as an embellishment. The supply list will be added after the launch.

The card base is Basic White thick and I used a nice cheerful Polished Pink layer and used the Circle Labels Aglow die. I die cut the small circle and white embossed the sentiment, then added some simply elegant silver trim on the back and adhered to the centre of the circle with dimensionals. Finishing touches were 2020-2024 Decorative Matte Dots in parakeet party to match the owl’s party hat.
