Get more from kits – Love Treats

Today I want to show you how to get more from the Love Treats Kit. Once you’ve made up the projects in the kit from the instruction sheet, you always have leftovers.

I have a little confession to make. Despite reading the instructions, I still managed to stamp things upside down! That is because when you stamp, the box is opened out and lies flat. It was user error, the instructions are perfectly clear. I’d mounted my stamps on the stamparatus because the card used for making the boxes had a semi glossy finish and I knew I’d have to stamp it a few times to make sure the ink absorbed into the card stock properly! I just left the stamps on the plate and turned the boxes in the other direction except when you assembled it, the hearts were pointing in opposite directions, whereas they should have been both pointing the same way! Lucky for me, I had one box left to get it right for the photo!

As usual, there was a generous amount of stickers left over so I used them to create 3″x 3″ cards. Stampin’ Up! still supply the 3″x 3″ envelops so why not? I just added some Basic Gray, Soft Succulent card stock for the mat layers as well as Petal Pink ink. I fussy cut the “thank you” for the Basic White card with the hugs and kisses circle stamped in Basic Gray.

The kit includes the Love Treats Photopolymer stamp set, a clear stampin’ block, a Basic Gray Ink Spot, pre-designed projects with step by step instructions.

What I love about the kits is that there is no prep work because all the pieces have been pre-cut. It’s terrific value at £20 for the kit and it makes 20 boxes.
