Happy Easter Sunday

Happy Easter Sunday! I hope you’re all enjoying the Easter/spring break wherever you may be.

I dug out my Daffodil Dies and used them on a gift bag recently so I thought I’d feature the stamps in today’s post. Also featured is the Framed Florets dies. This set was an early release before the January-April 2023 mini was launched for Demonstrators. I am guilty of using it to death prior to launch day and shortly afterwards.

So I am addressing the oversight and have used it for this fun fold easel card. The oval frames are simply stunning, don’t you think?

flat lay easel card in mint macaron and daffodil delilght with Framed Florets and Daffodil Daydream

I die cut 3 frames and adhered them on top of each other to give it added strength because part of the frame extends beyond the easel fold. Two of the Mint Macaron oval frame insides were adhered to the bottom half of the easel.

The daffodils were stamped and coloured with Stampin’ Blends in Mint Macaron and Daffodil Delight on Basic White card stock then die cut with the same frame die. I adhered this on top of the Mint Macaron layered insides.

Other inks I used were Mint Macaron, Pool Party, Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight. I know the rule of thumb is that if you’re using alcohol markers you should always use Tuxedo Black Memento ink, but I didn’t want any harsh lines so I stamped the Daffodils in Mango Melody. I made sure to stay within the lines so I wouldn’t smudge the image.

The butterflies were stamped in Pool Party, coloured in with Mint Macaron and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, followed by Clear Wink of Stella then fussy cut.
