Sneak Peek – Fresh as a Daisy collection

Here’s another sneak peek and this time it’s at the Fresh as a Daisy Collection. Are you excited? Only three more sleeps before launch day on May 2nd!

In the collection, there is a stamp and die bundle calledI Cheerful Daisies bundle. There is also a pack of Fresh as a Daisy 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Designer Series paper with 2 sheets each of 6 double sided designs. Lastly a pack of Adhesive Backed gems which coordinate with the papers.

I made another fun fold card by simply cutting off 2 ⅜” (6 cm) from the top. Then I re-purposed this strip by adhering it to the centre of the back of the card base.

Inside card

Photo on the left show that when the card is open, you can see that the back of the card front mirrors the front. I had the Fresh as a Daisy DSP adhered on Basic White mat layers for both the card front as well as the inside.

The middle photo shows the centre flap is down. If you keep within the confines of the flap when you address the recipient and also sign off, then the card can be left open for display without revealing the message within.

In the photo on the far right, this is how it looks when displayed upright. The Basic White mat layer on the centre flap was embossed with one of the “Stripes & Splatters 3D embossing folders” which come in a pair. I used the splatter one.

Cutting guide

1. Card base Moody Mauve card stock : W4 ⅛” x H5 ⅞”(10.5 cm x 14.5 cm)
2. Align short side on trimmer at 3 ⅜” (8.5 cm) and cut from 0”down to 4 ⅛” (10.5 cm). 
3. Rotate c/s quarter turn with cut portion on left – align at 4 ⅛” (10.5 cm). This strip should measure 2 ⅜” x 4 ⅛”  (6 cm x 10.5 cm).
4. Take this strip and on the long side score one end at ⅜” (1 cm)        

Mat layers

1. Inside card back portion Basic White : cut 1 piece W 3 ⅞” x 5 ⅝” (10 cm x 14 cm)
2. Lower portion card for front and inside Basic White : cut 2 pieces W 3 ⅞” x  H 3 ¼” (10 cm x 8 cm)
3. Centre flap Basic White for embossing : 1 piece 2 ⅛” x 3 ½” (5.5 cm x 9 cm)

Designer Series Paper

• Cut 2 pieces of Fresh as a Daisy DSP : W 3 ⅝” x H 3” (W 9.5 cm x H 7.5 cm)

Additional card stock

• Scraps of Basic White to stamp and die cut floral images and leaves
• Scrap of Moody Mauve for embossing sentiment
