Birthday card in a box

I made this Birthday card in a box with the Gone Fishing Bundle for my grandson’s birthday. They went on holiday and the place where they stayed was by a lake where they went fishing almost every day. So when I saw this stamp set, I thought it would be good one to have. I know nothing about fishing and had to google what the different “bits” are for. I’m still none the wiser!

Some of the fishes were fussy cut from the Let’s Go Fishing 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Designer Series Papers. There is a die which fits one of the fishes in the DSP pack.

Here’s a view of the card closed – it will fold flat for posting. On the front, I’ve stamped the greeting from an old favourite called Season of Chic. Some of the squares were embossed with the Twisted Rope 3D embossing folder.

The wavy die embosses and cuts waves, and I used it to layer some as pictured below.

The back portion stands upright so that there was somewhere to address the recipient and sign off. I cut a Basic White piece 2 ½” x 5 ½” mat layer. The sentiment is from Season of Chic.

I am planning a video tutorial when I next make this card and you can see it HERE. In the meantime, enjoy your weekend.

Stampin’ Up! has a new Reward System beginning early April 2025. A qualifying purchase must meet the minimum threshold requirement on commissionable products. Be aware that Stampin’ Rewards have an expiration date. They need not be redeemed all at once. Stampin’ Up!’s system tracks them and the rewards expiring first will be used first when redeemed. You can check the Rewards Dashboard to help you keep track of Rewards Expiration Date Information. Please note the new Stampin’ Reward System cannot use Rewards toward the purchase of a Starter Kit as the Starter Kit has non-commissionable items in it. The Host Code will become obsolete.
