Diagonal trifold with Masterfully Made DSP

I am so excited about this diagonal trifold using the gorgeous Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper. I’ve used Fresh Freesia and Azure Afternoon colours, the latter is one I rarely use. The colours in the Masterfully Made DSP enabled me to get out of my comfort zone and I’m so glad I did otherwise that ink pad will never see the light of day!

This is a view of the card when closed. The circle on the side is adhered to the middle panel so that you can tuck the small end panel into the right half of the circle when closed for posting. For display purposes, you can leave it free for extra stability.

Here’s a better view of the middle panel where the circle is adhered. In the photo on the left is a view of the reverse side where I’ve stamped on a Basic White panel and where you can address the recipient and say who it’s from.

Cutting guide

Card base

1. Take an A4 sheet of Fresh Freesia and on the short side, mark it at 5 ½” (14 cm).
2. Rotate card stock 180^o and mark opposite end also at 5 ½” (14 cm).
3. Cut diagonally between these two points on the trimmer and yields 2 cards.

Scoring

1. Orient card stock with the straight edge at the top and the narrow section on the left.
2. Score at 3 ¼” and 7 ¼” (8.2 cm, 18.5 cm) *

*US Letter size : Orient card stock same as above, but score at 3″ and 6 ¾”

Card stock/DSP for panels

The following measurements are for EU/IE *A4 sheets which are 8 ¼” x 11 ¾” (21 cm x 29 cm)

1. DSP #1 : H 3 ⅜ “ x W 3” [panel 1: H 3 ⅝”x W 3 ¼” (9.2 cm x 8.2 cm)]
2. DSP #2 : H 4 ¼” x 3 ¾” (panel 2: H 4 ½” x W 4” (11.5 cm x 10.2 cm)]
3. Basic white inside middle H 4 ½” x W 3 ¾” (11.5 cm x 9.5 cm)
4. DSP #3 : H 5 ¼” x 4 ¼” [panel 3 H 5 ½” x W 4 ½” (14 cm x 11.5 cm)]. You have option to use same pattern as panel 1, but each panel can be a different pattern if you so wish.

*Please note that US Letter size measure 8 ½” x 11″ and the panels will be different. They are listed below.

• First panel DSP : H 3 ½” x W 2 ¾”
• Second panel DSP : H 4 ¼” x W 3 ½”
• Third panel DSP : H 5 ¼” x W 4″

Additional card stock

1. Fresh Freesia scrap to die cut 2nd smallest circle from Stylish Shapes dies and large leaf from Gorgeously Made dies.
2. Azure Afternoon scrap for die cutting label.
