Autumn delights – Fun on Wheels

Autumn delights using the Fun on Wheels bundle from the Annual Catalogue as well as the new All About Autumn 6″x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Specialty Designer Series papers and the Autumn Leaves Bundle in the September-December 2023 mini.

I know that if you’re a sports person, exercise and cycling isn’t just seasonal, and you probably take your bike out whether it’s rain or shine. In summer, the weather is sunny and mostly fair, but boy is it hot! The cooler weather in Autumn makes cycling a lot more pleasant and seeing nature change its clothing and the different hues of autumn on the leaves of the trees is just spectacular!

Autumn card with Fun on Wheels and Autumn Leaves Bundle

The Fun on Wheels stamp set has dies to coordinate. Purchased as a bundle (stamps+dies) there is a saving of 10%. As the school term starts, the days get shorter, and being in the month of September, my cards have taken on an autumnal feel.

Card details

  • I only cut a 1 ½” strip from the All About Autumn 6″x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Specialty Designer Series pack so that I could use the remainder on another card at a later date. Next I die cut a bicycle silhouette from Basic Black card stock and also die cut the bicycle wheels and frame from adhesive backed silver foil. I adhered the wheels and frame to the Basic Black bicycle silhouette card stock.
  • Before adhering the mat layers, I randomly stamped the route map in Copper Clay several times without re-inking. By doing this, it creates different shades of the same colour.
  • The words “beautiful” and “autumn” were stamped on Very Vanilla card stock and fussy cut. I adhered the fussy cut words on to Copper Clay card stock and fussy cut around that too.
  • Several leaves were die cut from Oxidized Copper Specialty paper using the Autumn Leaves dies and I arranged them in a cascading pattern on the front of the card and by the bike.
  • As a finishing touch, I added some Brushed Metallic adhesive backed dots.
  • For the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from Fun on Wheels and the route map in the bottom right corner and along the bottom in Copper Clay
  • The skate board and scooter were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink
