How to create a stunning Autumn card

How to create a stunning Autumn card – let me introduce you to the All About Autumn Suite Collection on pages 42-44 of the newly launched September-December 2023 mini. I love everything in this Suite, from the stamps, dies, papers, embossing folder to the embellishments. There is a copper & natural ribbon combo pack and in addition to the normal offering of 12″x 12″ papers with 6 double sided designs, there is a specialty paper pack with oxidized copper and verdigris look.

The All About Autumn 6″x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Specialty Designer Series Papers is from the All About Autumn Suite collection. On one side of the paper are photographic images of autumnal scenes, and on the reverse there is gold foiling and they are stunning! There are 12 double sided designs in the pack, 4 each of each design. I couldn’t bear to waste such pretty images, so I tried to stretch each 6″x 6″ sheet to two cards, hence all the layers.

Inside card

So as not to waste any paper, I adhered the remnant left from the card front on to the inside mat layer. Then I used one of the dies from Autumn Leaves die set to die cut the dotted line pattern alongside the paper.

Cutting Guide

1. Card base ½ A4 sheet Very Vanilla Thick : in Europe this measures 5 ⅞” x 8 ¼” (14.5 cm x 21 cm)
2. First mat layer card front : Copper Clay 3 ¾” x 5 ½” (9.5 cm x 14 cm) for embossing
3. Second Mat layer card front Rose Gold specialty paper 3 ⅛” x 4 ⅞” (8 cm x 12.5 cm) : gut the inside by cutting a ½” border all round on trimmer (1.5 cm all round)
4. Third mat layer card front : All About Autumn 6”x 6” (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Specialty DSP : cut W 3”, H 4 ¾” (7.5 cm x 12 cm), leaving a remnant at the bottom.
5. Inside card : Trim remnant 2 ⅝” x 1 ¼” (6.6 cm x 3.2 cm) to adhere to mat layer for inside of card
6. Scraps of Oxidised Copper 12x 12 (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Specialty DSP : die cut 1 maple leaf in copper and the other in Verdigris
