“Festive” – Tech 4 Stampers blog hop theme for October. So many things popped into my head but I decided to keep it simple and here is the result. Initially I had dismissed the Patchwork Pieces dies, but Sara, our CEO demonstrated it and I was hooked! I also wanted to make use of some of the beautiful online exclusive papers.
The Patchwork Pieces dies are stand alone dies so I needed a stamp set to go with it and I thought the Cheers to the Season stamp set would be a perfect match. I also used the Deckled Circle dies to cut round the stamped image.
The Tech 4 Stampers is a monthly subscription group run by Louise Sims. She mentors and enables members to understand IT jargon and equips them with a fountain of Technical knowledge to build or manage their own websites. It takes the mystery out of “tech” and I’ve certainly grown in confidence thanks to her expertise, patience and guidance. Not only that, I’ve met and made new friends with my fellow “Techs” and love the camaraderie within the group.
Keeping it simple
- Tartan foil : Cut 2 pieces measuring 5″ x 3 ½” – one in Lost Lagoon and the other in Copper Clay.
- Place adhesive sheet on the back of each sheet then die cut with Patchwork Pieces die.
- Cut 2 pieces Basic White card stock 3 ⅛ “ x 4 ⅝”. You can then alternate adhering the Patchwork Pieces die cuts to the Basic White card stock.
- Stamp in Blue Lagoon ink the image from Cheers to the Season on Basic White card stock and die cut with Deckled Circle Dies. There are 14 Deckled Circles in the set, number 1 being the smallest and 14 being the largest. You need number 5.
- Attach some ribbon behind circle and adhere with dimensionals on to patchwork layer then adhere to Basic White Thick card base.
- Finally add some Basic Rhinestone gems in bottom right corner.
Minimal layers, easy for posting and a project that you can make multiples in a flash.
Inside card
I used a different greeting stamp set – Brightest Glow for the greeting inside and made some splatters with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

Nice card. I don’t have those dies – yet!
Hi Carol, Well, I didn’t give these dies much notice until Sara Douglas demoed it and made it look so easy!
