Quick simply embossed cards – Stars at Night

In episode 5 of 12 in my 12 week Christmas Countdown series I have quick, simply embossed cards using the Stars at Night bundle. Did you see the gorgeous Brushed Gold Cards & Envelopes in the mini? The Brushed Gold cards make great card bases and the envelops are already decorated too.

I used the Stars at Night bundle which has a hybrid embossing folder. Hybrid embossing folders have dies specifically designed to fit inside the embossing folder which will cut and emboss simultaneously. Of course there are other dies in the set as extras so that’s a win, win for me.

You can use the Online Exclusives Silver & Gold 12″x 12″ adhesive-backed glimmer paper to die cut the stars, or the More Dazzle 6″x 6″ Specialty papers. The stars definitely add interest to the card front and adds a bit of pizzazz.

These cards were so quick and easy to assemble. I must confess that I did use a discontinued product – my trusty Stamparatus. If you’ve still got yours, it’s a great tool to use when you’re making multiples of the same design card. It takes the guess work out of the equation and once you’ve mounted your stamp on the plate, you can duplicate stamping on each consecutive card with the same precision as the first one you stamped.

For the inside of the card, you have the option to partially emboss the stars, and just use an ink pad for the sentiment. Alternatively, you can emboss both but I just thought that using ink for the sentiment would add a bit of variety to break up the monotony of it all.
